About the project

The GARY 5.0 project is an innovative project aimed at developing entrepreneurial and innovation skills. Through diverse educational activities, mentoring, and practical group projects, we want to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and tools to create and implement their business ideas.

Activities carried out as part of the project include various forms of learning, from interactive workshops and training to mentoring sessions led by experienced businesses and the public to business idea competitions that encourage creative thinking and innovation.

The project strives to create an inspiring environment that fosters the development of practical skills and allows people to gain tangible experience in entrepreneurship and innovation. The methodology is grounded in active learning, collaboration, and practical challenges that participants undertake in groups.

The target groups of the project are

  • VET Centre Leaders – VET trainers, practitioners – VET learners,
  • representatives of VET providers, business incubators, regional development agencies, chambers,
  • representatives of SMEs operate in specific sectors (aviation and automotive industry, ecotourism, food, and beverage industry as well as the wood industry).

Thematic scope

The result of the project is a powerful educational application to raise awareness of the need to implement Industry 5.0 in the aerospace, automotive, eco-tourism, food and beverage, and timber industries, offering advanced tools to achieve this goal. The application will be available without restrictions and will include five modules dedicated to the following elements:

1) Competencies and resources necessary for the transformation to Industry 5.0 at the local level – The module focuses on identifying and developing the skills and resources needed for transitioning to Industry 5.0 locally. It involves analyzing the needs of local VET institutions and providing training materials and support tools to prepare for new Industry 5.0 technologies and methodologies. The aim is to adapt global concepts to specific conditions and needs of local communities.

2) Regenerative, circular economy approaches as a framework for Industry 5.0 implementation – promoting a regenerative approach to a circular economy as the basis for implementing Industry 5.0. The result includes creating and sharing educational materials and tools that support sustainable practices, and resource efficiency.

3) Interactions between man and machine as the basis of economics at every level – the module includes tools for benchmarking Industry 5.0 with suppliers and VET students from Germany, Poland, Estonia, Italy, and Portugal. In addition, it focuses on optimizing human-machine interaction, which is the foundation of today’s economy. Training programs include advanced technologies and software that support better cooperation between humans and machines, increasing efficiency and safety in the workplace. Participants also learn to use these technologies in practical scenarios, better preparing them for real-world professional challenges.

4) Simulation models and digital twins as the basis for production planning – The module includes the development of skills in creating simulation models and digital twins. The training focuses on designing and analyzing simulations and using digital twins to optimize manufacturing processes. Participants gain the practical ability to successfully plan for and manage production in an Industry 5.0 environment. The development addresses the areas of aerospace and automotive, eco-tourism, food and beverage, and wood products.

5)Virtual reality as an experiential-based tools to growth – The module uses Virtual Reality as a tool for education and professional development. Trainees can gain practical skills through immersive Virtual Reality experiences, which prepare them to work in high-tech industrial environments. The VR training course is designed to simulate real-world work scenarios, allowing you to develop your skills in a safe and controlled environment.
